ANDREW & LAURA WEDDING
Well the big day finally arrived - May 28th 2011 - Andrew and Laura Wedding Day. Most guests in evening dress as requested and a great occasion it was. The wedding took place in the centre of Bristol at Bakers and Cutlers Halls owned by Raymond Blanc in Cabot Circus. The two halls are medieval and made a fascinating location for a wedding and subsequent reception. The festivities went on until midnight having started officially at 4pm.
On the following day Andrew and Laura held an "open house" and the two families got together for a few hours before departing for home in the afternoon. We were treated to a mammoth wedding present opening session.

Andrew and Laura left for a two week honeymoon in Italy in the early hours of last Wednesday morning.
P.S. Dougal wasn't invited so he spent four days in kennels but seems to have survived ok.

WEEKEND AWAY
Nanna and Grandad went to see Uncle Pando and Laura at the weekend leaving me to stay with Uncle Colin, Jan and the boys together with Rosie the dog. Its the first time i've stayed with another dog but I seem to have got on quite well and been out for lots of good walks. Not been eating a lot though. Anyway i'm now back home. Nanna and Grandad had a nice (although really a flying visit) stay in Portishead near Bristol where Pando and Laura live. The picture is one of Portishead marina where they all had a walk to on Saturday afternoon.

LEAKING FISH TANK
A short time ago Nanna and Grandad noticed a leak in their fish tank. Buckets and bowls were employed to catch the drips which unfortunately did not stop therefore they decided to give up keeping fish, drained and emptied the tank and gave the fish away. A bit sad really but it would have meant trying to reseal the tank with no guarantee that you sort out the problem. Never mind, it was fun while it lasted. At least they were down on fish numbers.

PUNCTURE
On their way back from the cinema last Monday Nanna and Grandad heard a "bang" at the back of Grandad's car. Eventually a flat tyre was discovered and they didn't quite make it back home. Had to change the wheel on the outskirts of Driffield and the wheel has now been fitted with a new tyre. New Year - more expense !!

PANTOMIME
Grandad's usual Xmas treat is to take everybody to the Pantomime at York Theatre Royal and this year were Grandad, Nanna, Katy, Paul, Dawn, Georgia, Pando and Laura. We had good seats three rows back in the Dress Circle to watch Jack and the Beanstalk. The usual cast but opinion said not quite as good as last years Humpty Dumpty. Very difficult to get better and better and still very watchable at about 8.5/10. Anyway we all had a good afternoons entertainment and no doubt we'll be back for more next year.
