Poor old Grandad never sleeps very well these days and he was up early today so had a quick bite of breakfast and we were down on the old railway track well before 9am. He was heading for Beverley and I was heading towards Market Weighton - I won. Grandad's home town is Market Weighton but apart from that it has one claim to fame - it was the birthplace of William Bradley who was the tallest Englishman ever recorded and his height was 7 feet 9 inches. He was born in 1787 and died in 1820. The house where he lived is still standing and they celebrate "Giant Bradley Day" every year. I'm full of information aren't I !!! We didn't walk all the way to Market Weighton as its nearly 4 miles but we had a real nice walk and didn't see anyone until we got back to the car park at Kiplingcotes.
I did my usual rabbit chasing but still no success. Plenty of good exercise though for me and Grandad.
