DOWN BY THE CANAL

Hello again.

Thought you might like to see the up to date picture of me taken today, thats St. Georges Day, 23rd April. Here I am on the banks of Driffield Canal looking at the wildlife - ducks, swans, moorhens and coots. Lots of baby ducks and its a nice morning but it will rain later. I haven't been right in the water yet just got my paws a bit damp. I'll wait till the weather gets a bit warmer and I need a new pair of swimming trunks to do my doggie paddle.

DOUGAL HISTORY

Well hi to you all. My name is Dougal and i'm a (almost) jet black collie cross dog. I will be four years old in September. I have put one picture of me on this site so you can all admire my lovely smooth black fur. My owners wanted a border collie but they got chance to get me and i'm nearly a proper sheepdog. Shame I don't like sheep ! Anyway I live in East Yorkshire in a place called Driffield. My owners are called Tony (Grandad) and Sally (Nanna) and they have a nice house on the edge of town with a reasonable sized garden where I can chase about (and wee and poo as well). I like to poo a lot !! I've been here over 3 months now so i'm getting used to it. I used to live not far away but I didn't get much walking at my old house. Now I get lots sometimes too much but thats not a bad thing. I get well fed and like all sorts to eat especially Yorkshire puddings ! I'll be due my up to date jabs soon. More needles for me - more expense for the owners. Anyway we've all settled down well together and I have the run of the house (more or less) and usually sleep upstairs near Grandad but we don't disturb each other.
