MORE SNOW

Well folks its your favourite hound Dougal here. I'm pleased to give you today's medical report that i'm fit and bouncy again, back to my normal self and eating and drinking properly. Well I didn't want a third visit to the VET did I ?? It has also been snowing again and we got about 3 inches on Friday night / early Saturday morning. Hopefully it won't last too long.

STAR OF THE WEEK

Dawn gets "Star of the Week" at school last week. She is highly delighted. Well done Dawn.

I'm still a bit under the weather and had to have a return visit to the VET last Saturday. Another injection and a basic diet. Still I do get chicken and rice (I noticed Nanna bought me a whole chicken !!)

Up In The Air : Ryan Bingham has a job that sees him travelling around America firing people and leads an empty life living out of a suitcase. George Clooney stars. Good watching. Rated 8/10

POORLY DOUGAL

I have not been my usual self for the past few days and ended up going to the VET on Saturday morning after being tom dick again. Had an injection and got some medicine which has to be put either on food or down my throat as it seems my insides are a bit dodgy. Have also been on a diet of rice and chicken though I did manage a yorkshire pudding last night. I certainly feel a bit better than I did last week and have managed some walks ok. I'll just take it easy for a day or two.

THAWING

The thaw has started and it has been raining all morning. Still a lot of ice on the road though.

BATH DAY

Having been out in the pouring rain for a walk Nanna decided that as I was already very wet I should have a bath. I had overheard her say last night that I need one but didn't expect it so quick ! Usually I get in an old baby bath in the garden but as we still have the snow I ended up in the bathroom. At least thats over for at least six months. Nannas sister in law Jan had just happened to call so she too helped with the bathing !!

SHUFFLES DANCE CLASS SHOW

Nanna and Dawn were starring in yesterday evenings Shuffles Dance Class show. They each were in three seperate dances and were both very good.

DRIVE CLEARING

Grandad has spent part of the morning clearing snow from the drive. Trouble is it gets clear then more falls. We had 4/5 inches overnight. Just got a brand new lamb chewing bone this morning (delayed Xmas present) which makes up for the worm tablets I had yesterday. Nanna and Dawn doing their tap dance show this afternoon. Maybe we can get a picture or two ??

SNOW GRIPS EAST YORKSHIRE

We have been in the grip of snow and ice since before Xmas and it is still very bad with more snow falling today. I've still been out for some nice walks with Nanna and Grandad but apart from one trip to York last week they have not gone outside Driffield much because of the state of the roads. Lucky for them that they are retired !

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Happy New Year to all from Dougal the Dog, Nanna and Grandad (alias Sally and Tony). Plans postponed to go to Edinburgh because of snow !!
